HOW TO BUILD A SHELTER

  • You shouldn't go next to a lake or river because mosquitos or alligators can attack you.
  • You shouldn't build a shelter under tall tree because they are very old and a brach can fall on you.
  • You should build a shelter on top of a tree to protect yourself from flooding or rain.
  • Materials for the shelter: strong branches and leaves.
  • At night, make a fire, sleep with your clothes and put mud on your face.

HOW TO FIND WATER

  • There are different places to find water: rivers and lakes or palm trees and plant roots.
  • You can drink accumulated water on leaves or in the lianas. You can cut the lianas to drink water.
  • To test contaminated water: use a recipient. Put sand in the water. If the sand doesn't fall to the bottom, the water is contaminated.
